It’s officially on…
At about 10:00AM this morning, Jeff took off from Van Nuys Flight Center to start his Great Adventure North.
His plans thus far, conditions permitting, are to fly up to Philly and enjoy some Cheese Steaks with his cousin Mark for a few days before heading down to South Carolina to pick up Don and begin their journey.
For all of us here in the control center, it has been a hectic few days awaiting his departure. There were bags to pack, equipment to check, safety gear to get together and many loose ends to tie up.
We had a great Bon Voyage party Sunday in Jeff’s honor at the Enterprise Fish Company in Santa Monica. Even Cheryl Hines showed up!
Miss Behavin’ has been outfitted with the best of the best in aviation and survival equipment, as well as, a really neat dashboard mounted camera ready to take some amazing footage. We know he is at his happiest soaring 1000’s of feet above the ground.
We filmed his takeoff this morning and some footage here and there that will be posted on the blog very soon.
